We're HomeChoice, a Wynberg-based lifestyle retailer with 570 employees. We - staff and directors - donated 322 Buckets of Love to poor families in and around Cape Town. CWD's Angie (pictured, below) and Michail (above, left) and I (right) had spoken about the campaign to the following departments: Telemarketing, customer services, back office, collections, FinChoice, vetting and data -- over half of the company. Whatever quantity of Buckets donated by staff was matched by our chairman Rick Garrat -- and this year we raised R77 280.00.That is truly amazing. Well done, colleagues! PARMALAT DONATES R24 000 TO 'BUCKETS'
Our special thanks to Parmalat SA for their generous donation of R24 000 to Buckets of Love, which the company identified as its special end-of-year charity for 2010. At the handover (pictured above), CEO Louise Cooke (centre), HR manager Chris Vermeulen and HR assistant Nicky Waterson explained that the hunger and food security issue surrounding the campaign is what truly grabbed the company. Parmalat also donated nine boxes of custard to be added to the contents of some of the buckets.
Ms Cooke is pictured with CWD communications manager Michail Rassool (left) and Pauline Ford, CWD's direct marketing manager and overall interim head of marketing (Photos: Nicky Waterson).
